The 45C22 is a Local I/O Head manufactured by Reliance Electric. Depending on the production year, it may have also been distributed by Asea Brown Boveri and Baldor Reliance as part of their product lines. Please note that this part is no longer supported by the manufacturers.
The 45C22 serves as an AutoMate Local I/O Head, enabling direct connection to AutoMate Processors. It operates in Local Head Operating Mode and requires 120/240 VACs, 50/60 Hz, with a tolerance of +10% and -15%. Specifically, it operates at 120VAC and draws 1 ampere.
This device features a large cube design with three sides equipped with factory-drilled air holes to facilitate internal circuitry ventilation. One side panel is secured by four screws, allowing access to the internal components when removed.
On the front faceplate, the 45C22 is equipped with a bank of six LED indicators labeled as follows:
