The REC650 is specifically engineered for the control, monitoring, and protection of circuit breakers, disconnectors, and earthing switches across various switchgear configurations. Offering versatile functionality, it is adaptable to both single and multiple bay arrangements.
The REC650 finds application in controlling, protecting, and monitoring different types of bays within power networks, especially suited for distributed control systems demanding high reliability. Primarily intended for sub-transmission stations, it effectively manages all apparatuses in single busbar single circuit breaker (CB), double busbar single CB switchgear arrangements.
Control can be executed remotely via SCADA/Station through the communication bus or locally through a graphical Human Machine Interface (HMI) displaying the single-line diagram. Various control configurations are available, with one control IED per bay. Interlocking modules cater to common switchgear arrangements, ensuring secure operations based on the select-before-execute principle. Synchronism control function facilitates interlocking of breaker closing.
A range of protection functions is available, offering flexibility for different station types and busbar arrangements. Auto-reclose functionalities include priority circuits for single-breaker arrangements, cooperating with the synchrocheck function for high-speed or delayed reclosing. Available functions include high set instantaneous phase and earth overcurrent, directional or non-directional delayed phase and earth overcurrent, thermal overload, and two-step under- and overvoltage functions, meeting diverse application requirements.
Disturbance recording allows independent post-fault analysis after primary disturbances. Three pre-defined packages cater to specific applications: Single breaker for single busbar (A01), Single breaker for double busbar (A02), and Bus coupler for double busbar (A07). These packages come configured and ready for direct use, with pre-defined analog and control circuits. The main differences lie in the interlocking modules and the number of apparatuses to control. The graphical configuration tool ensures simple and fast testing and commissioning.

Within three months of supply, we cover one-way shipping costs for warranty-related returns. After three months, the customer is responsible for shipping costs both ways.
