The REB670 is specifically designed for the selective, reliable, and rapid differential protection of busbars, T-connections, and meshed corners. It is versatile, applicable for single and double busbars with or without transfer bus, as well as double circuit breaker or one-and-a-half circuit breaker stations. This IED is suitable for medium voltage (MV), high voltage (HV), and extra high voltage (EHV) installations operating at power system frequencies of 50Hz or 60Hz. It can detect various internal faults, including phase-to-phase and phase-to-earth faults in solidly or low impedance earthed power systems, and multi-phase faults in isolated or high-impedance earthed systems.
