The TU845 MTU (Module Termination Unit) supports up to 8 I/O channels and features 2+2 process voltage connections. Each channel includes two I/O connections and one ZP connection, with input signals connected via shunt sticks (TY801). It supports both voltage and current inputs, with a maximum rated voltage of 50 V and maximum rated current of 2 A per channel.
The MTU facilitates distribution of two ModuleBuses, one to each I/O module and to the next MTU. It manages address configuration for I/O modules by shifting outgoing position signals to subsequent MTUs. The unit includes a mechanical latch for secure DIN rail mounting.
Four mechanical keys, two for each I/O module, allow configuration of the MTU for different I/O module types. This mechanical setup ensures correct module insertion without affecting MTU or module functionality. Each key offers six positions, providing 36 configuration options.
