Description

The Honeywell 620-0086 Parallel Link Driver Module (PLDM) collaborates with the I/O module to regulate I/O communications. It also manages system status via the mode keyswitch and determines I/O response to system faults and various operating parameters. The PLDM is typically installed in slot N in both the 620-25 and 620-35 processors.

Front Panel

The front panel of the PLDM includes:

• Three LED status indicators
  • RUN LED: Energizes while the processor is scanning the ladder diagram program and is operating correctly.
  • FORCE LED: Energizes when at least one address in the program is in the forced state.
  • PASS LED: Energizes when the PLDM has passed its self-test.
• Processor Keyswitch: Offers four positions for selecting processor mode of operation: PROGRAM, DISABLE, RUN/PROG, and RUN.
• D Connector: Interfaces the processor with the I/O system.

DIP Switches

Two DIP switch banks are located on the top edge of the PLDM:

• SW 1 (four switches)
• SW 2 (eight switches) These switches select the I/O response to system faults and various operating parameters.
