The 1746-P1 supplies backplane power necessary for the operation of SLC 500 controllers and other modules. It operates within a line voltage range of 85 to 132 Volts or 170 to 265 Volts AC. Installation Notes
Before applying power, ensure the input jumper is set correctly to prevent hazardous voltage exposure. The unit features a maximum user-supplied overcurrent protection of 15 A. For overcurrent conditions, Series A units may exhibit different recovery behaviors depending on the manufacturing location.
Hold-Up Time
The 1746-P1 maintains operation during input voltage dips. The CPU hold-up time is 20 ms under full load and 3000 ms under no load, allowing the system to continue functioning until normal voltage is restored.
Installation Position
This power supply is installed in the leftmost slot of the SLC 500 chassis. Only one power supply is required per chassis, whether for main, expansion, or Remote I/O racks.
